Microneedling, RF, and laser protocols that fade stretch marks across stomach, hips, thighs, and arms — at our CityPlace Fort York clinic.
What stretch mark treatment looks like at Bar Beauty
Stretch marks (striae) form when skin stretches faster than its collagen can keep up — pregnancy, growth spurts, weight changes, bodybuilding. The fresh red and purple marks (striae rubrae) respond best, but white silvery marks (striae albae) can also be softened with the right protocol. We don’t promise total removal — anyone who does is selling you fiction. We can make them noticeably less visible, smoother to the touch, and closer in tone to surrounding skin.
The treatments we use
Most patients get a custom stack of microneedling with PRP or exosomes, Aerolase NeoSkin for tone correction, and Morpheus 8 RF microneedling for deeper texture remodelling. Microneedling triggers controlled micro-injuries, prompting fresh collagen and elastin to fill the gaps. Aerolase laser energy targets the redness and uneven pigment without heating the surrounding tissue. Morpheus 8 takes it deeper — radiofrequency heats the dermis to remodel collagen at depths topicals can’t reach.
Who’s a good candidate
You’re a candidate if your stretch marks bother you visually or texturally and you can commit to a series. We typically book 4 to 6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart, with a maintenance plan after. Pregnancy stretch marks, post-weight-loss marks, and adolescence growth marks all respond. Skin types I to VI all welcome — Aerolase is one of the few lasers that’s safe for melanin-rich skin without pigment risk.
What recovery actually looks like
Microneedling sessions leave skin pink for 24 to 48 hours, like a sunburn. Morpheus 8 has a similar window. Aerolase has near-zero downtime. We send you home with aftercare and you’re back in the gym within 48 to 72 hours. Most patients see softening of texture by session 3 and meaningful colour improvement by session 6.
Why patients choose Bar Beauty over a chain spa
Two things. First, every treatment is performed by a licensed nurse or doctor — not an aesthetician. Second, we customize. Stretch marks on a stomach behave differently than stretch marks on inner thighs; depth, density, age of mark, and skin tone all change the protocol. We use whatever combination gets your specific marks responding fastest.
