Stylage in Toronto: The Full Vivacy Range (S, M, L, XL, XXL) at Bar Beauty Medical
Short version: Stylage is a French HA filler line made by Vivacy. It uses IPN-Like cross-linking technology (Interpenetrated Polymer Network) which produces a softer gel feel and slower water absorption than older cross-linking methods. Bar Beauty Medical in CityPlace Fort York Toronto carries the full Stylage range: S, M, L, XL, XXL. We pick by anatomy, not by patient request, and the grade is selected at your appointment. This page explains how the range works, how the choice is made on the day, and how Stylage compares to other HA filler lines such as Restylane, Juvederm, Teosyal, and Revanesse. For the manufacturer side, which Stylage products Health Canada licenses and which four are not legal to sell here, see our Laboratoires Vivacy page.
Longer lasting is not automatically better. A firm gel that holds eighteen months is the wrong answer under thin skin, in an area that moves, or at a first appointment, and we will often choose something softer that fades sooner on purpose. How long a syringe holds is a consequence of the gel and the site together, not a grade you are being sold up through.
| The situation | What tends to go in | Why it is chosen that way |
|---|---|---|
| First time treating this area | Something softer, and less of it | A result that fades in months rather than years leaves the decision open. The two week look then tells us what to alter next time |
| Somewhere that moves constantly, such as around the mouth | A gel that travels with the tissue | Dense product placed where the face folds can be felt under the fingertip and can read as a ridge in movement |
| Thin skin, particularly beneath the eye | A soft gel that binds little water | Heavier product under thin skin draws water, puffs, and can throw a bluish tint |
| Building outward on bone, at the chin or the cheekbone | Something denser | Here the extra months are the point rather than a side effect, because the shape has to hold against everything pressing on it |
| You have had work you did not like | Less product, softer gel, and an assessment first | Overfilled, too firm and too water-hungry are three separate complaints and each is answered by a different decision on the day |
This is the reason a syringe is not something to request by size. We read the anatomy, then choose, and we book a symmetry check at two weeks so anything uneven is caught while it is still easy to alter.
The Full Stylage Range by Vivacy, and How the Grade Is Chosen
Stylage is a French-made hyaluronic acid filler line by Vivacy Laboratories, cross-linked with IPN-Like technology and stabilised with mannitol (a natural antioxidant that protects the gel from free-radical degradation). Bar Beauty Medical stocks the Stylage range, which runs from S through XXL. We do not publish which grade goes with which treatment, because that is not a decision anyone can make before seeing your face.
Why we do not name a grade in advance
The grade is selected at your appointment. It follows from how thick your skin is over the area, how much that area moves, how deep the product has to sit, what you have had before, and what you want the result to do. Two people booking the same treatment often get different answers, and the same person can get a different answer a year later. Any page that tells you the grade before an assessment is guessing.
What the gel does, rather than what number it carries
Softer gels travel with tissue that moves, which is what you want under thin skin and around the mouth. Denser gels resist being flattened by the tissue pressing down on them, which is what you want when a shape has to hold against bone. Firmness is one property among several and it does not on its own predict how much lift you get. So we describe how a gel behaves rather than quoting a modulus figure: published figures are not comparable between manufacturers because they shift with the measurement settings, and no figure is published for every grade in this range.
What Vivacy publishes each grade is made for
Below is the manufacturer’s own description of the range, taken from Laboratoires Vivacy’s Stylage product site. It is what Vivacy designed each gel to do. It is not a statement of what you will be given, and it is not a Canadian indication: Health Canada licenses dermal fillers as Class III medical devices and the MDALL listing carries no indications field at all, so no indication can be quoted for this line or for any other filler sold here.
| Grade | What Vivacy says it is for | Areas Vivacy names |
|---|---|---|
| Stylage S | Fine to medium wrinkles | Around the mouth including smoker’s lines, forehead, crow’s feet |
| Stylage M | Medium to deep wrinkles | Forehead, temples, nose, cheeks, nasolabial folds, marionette lines |
| Stylage L | Deep to very deep wrinkles | Nasolabial folds, the nose, the backs of the hands |
| Stylage XL | Facial volume restoration | Temples, cheekbones, jawline, chin |
| Stylage XXL | Facial volume creation and restoration | Cheekbones, the shape of the chin, hollow temples, the facial oval |
Source: Laboratoires Vivacy, the STYLAGE range. Those five grades are also exactly the ones Vivacy holds Canadian licences for: MDALL 95643 covers S, M and L with and without lidocaine, 111727 covers XL Lidocaine, and 96945 covers XXL. Vivacy’s international catalogue lists further Stylage products that carry no Canadian licence, and we do not use them. On how long results last, Vivacy publishes a figure for only two grades in the range, saying results with S can last up to 12 months and that XXL can hold its volumising effect and projection for up to 18 months. It publishes nothing for M, L or XL. Those are manufacturer ceilings rather than typical results, which is why the ranges further down this page are given by area rather than by grade.
Knowing what a grade was built for is useful. It still does not tell you which one suits your face, which is why we assess on the day rather than pre-assign.
Bar Beauty Medical Stylage pricing in Toronto
We price filler by the treatment and the area, not by the product, so the grade used does not change what you pay. At our CityPlace clinic, 46 Fort York Blvd, a one cubic centimetre area treatment is $750: that covers Lip Filler, Russian Lip, Cheek Contour, Nasolabial Fold Reshape, Melomental Fold Reshape and Jawline Sculpting. Forehead Contouring is $800, tear trough under the eyes is $850, and Chin Reshape is $950. A 0.5 cc Signature Mini Lip Plump is $500. All figures in Canadian dollars and live in our booking system. Most cases need 1 to 2 syringes; complex structural cases may need 2 to 4. We will quote you in writing at your free consult before booking.
What is Stylage
Stylage is a hyaluronic acid filler line manufactured by Vivacy Laboratories (France) and distributed across Europe and Canada. The whole line is built on Vivacy’s IPN-Like cross-linking, which interweaves two HA networks rather than chemically bonding them. The result is a gel that sits softly under the skin, holds shape under muscle movement, and binds less interstitial water than older monophasic gels. Most of the Stylage range also includes mannitol, an antioxidant intended to reduce HA degradation from oxidative stress.
How the Stylage grade is chosen at your appointment
| What we assess | Why it changes the choice |
|---|---|
| Skin thickness over the area | Thin skin shows anything placed too superficially, and anything that draws too much water. That pushes the choice toward a softer gel placed deeper |
| How much the area moves | Around the mouth and through the mid-face the product has to travel with the tissue. A gel that stays rigid where the face folds can be felt under the fingertip and can read as a ridge in movement |
| Whether a shape has to hold against bone | At the chin and the cheekbone the product is resisting everything pressing down on it, so it has to keep its shape rather than spread |
| What you have had before | Overfilled, too firm and too water-hungry are three separate complaints, and each one is answered by a different decision on the day |
| What you want it to do, and for how long | A result that softens in months rather than years is often the right answer at a first appointment, because it leaves the decision open |
We will tell you what is going in and why before anything is injected, and we book a symmetry check at two weeks.
Why we carry the full Stylage range
Most Toronto clinics carry one or two HA filler lines. We carry the full Stylage range, Revanesse, and Teosyal Redensity because anatomy varies and product engineering varies. The softer end of the range behaves differently from Restylane Refyne in fine lines. The denser end behaves differently from Sculptra in significant volume loss, because Sculptra is a biostimulator that builds collagen over months while an HA gel adds volume the same day. Carrying the full line lets us pick by tissue depth, skin thickness, movement pattern, and longevity goal rather than swap product to make it fit.
Stylage vs Restylane vs Teosyal vs Revanesse
All four lines are hyaluronic acid fillers, all reversible with hyaluronidase, all with multi-year clinical safety records. Where they differ:
- Stylage: IPN-Like cross-linking with mannitol antioxidant. Softer feel, lower water binding. French.
- Restylane: NASHA and OBT cross-linking (Galderma), two gel technologies in one family, one firmer and more particulate, the other built to move with the face. Swedish. Health Canada licenses fillers as Class III medical devices and the MDALL listing carries no indications field at all, so no Canadian indication can be quoted for this line or any other.
- Teosyal: Resilient Hyaluronic Acid cross-linking (Teoxane). Engineered to stretch with dynamic facial movement. Swiss.
- Revanesse: Thixotropic gel technology (Prollenium). Canadian-made, entry-priced. Soft, integrates well in lips and small-volume areas.
None is “better” in absolute terms. Each is the right pick for a specific tissue type and result goal. We map your face at consultation and pick.
How long does Stylage last
Duration is a consequence of the gel and the area it sits in, taken together, rather than a grade you are sold up through:
- Fine lines and superficial correction: 6 to 9 months
- Lips: 9 to 12 months
- Cheeks: 12 to 18 months
- Deep structural work placed on bone: 18 to 24 months
Movement, metabolism, and placement depth all change this. We follow up at 2 weeks for symmetry check, and recommend maintenance at 75 to 80% of expected duration to keep results consistent.
What Stylage costs at Bar Beauty Medical
Filler at Bar Beauty Medical is priced by treatment and area rather than by product, so the grade of Stylage used does not change what you pay. A one cubic centimetre area treatment is $750, Forehead Contouring is $800, tear trough under the eyes is $850, and Chin Reshape is $950. A 0.5 cc Signature Mini Lip Plump is $500. All Canadian dollars. For the full live menu see our price list, or book a free 15 to 30 minute consult and we will write you a quote on paper before you commit.
Who in Toronto carries Stylage
Stylage is less widely stocked in Toronto than Juvederm or Restylane because it is a European-import product. A handful of Toronto medical aesthetics clinics carry the line. We chose to carry the full range because the IPN-Like gel behaves well in our patient demographic, especially for clients who have had filler before with results they did not love (overfilled, too firm, too hydrophilic).
Stylage FAQ
Is Stylage safe? Yes. It is a Health Canada approved HA filler family with international clinical data behind it. As with any HA filler, fully reversible with hyaluronidase if needed.
Can Stylage be dissolved? Yes. Standard hyaluronidase dissolves it just like any other HA filler. Our dissolving session is $150.
Does Stylage have lidocaine in it? Most of the Stylage range includes lidocaine for in-treatment comfort.
Is Stylage better than Juvederm or Restylane? Honest answer: not “better” in absolute terms. It is engineered differently. Some patients prefer the softer feel of IPN-Like cross-linking, particularly in lips and fine lines. Some patients prefer the firmer structural lift of NASHA (Restylane Lyft) or HYAcross (Juvederm Voluma). The right pick is the one your injector chooses based on your specific anatomy.
What else we carry in HA filler
- Teosyal / Teoxane (Redensity-1 skin booster, Redensity-2 tear trough)
- Revanesse (Russian Lip, Mini Lip Plump, Cheek Contour, Jawline Sculpting, Temporal Contouring)
- Biostimulator alternatives: Sculptra (PLLA), Radiesse (CaHA)
