Botox along the platysma neck bands and jawline — the "Nefertiti lift" defines the jaw, smooths neck cords, and tightens the lower-face profile without surgery.
What a Nefertiti lift is
The Nefertiti lift is a specific Botox protocol named after the famous Egyptian queen’s defined jawline. We inject Botox along the platysma — the broad sheet of muscle in the neck — and along the inferior border of the jawline. The platysma stops pulling the jaw down, the jawline appears more defined, and visible “neck bands” smooth out.
Who’s a candidate
Best results come for patients in their 30s to 60s with mild to moderate platysmal banding (those vertical neck cords that show when you flex your neck), a softening jawline, or early jowling. Severe skin laxity needs a different approach — Morpheus 8 RF, threads, or surgical referral. We screen at consultation.
What the appointment looks like
30 minutes. We mark the platysma bands with you flexing the muscle, then inject 20 to 40 units of Botox or Dysport along the bands and jaw border. You walk out unchanged in appearance — effect kicks in around day 5 to 7, peaks at day 14, and lasts 3 to 4 months.
Stack with skin tightening for best result
The Nefertiti lift handles the muscular component. For skin laxity, we layer Aerolase NeoSkin across 4 to 6 sessions or Morpheus 8 for deeper tightening. Combined, these protocols give the closest non-surgical equivalent to a lower-face lift available in Toronto.
Aftercare
No lying flat for 4 hours. No exercise for 24. No facials or saunas for 48. Most patients are back to full normal the next day with zero visible signs of the appointment.
