Injectables in Toronto, explained without the sales pitch

Injectable treatments fall into a few clear families, and knowing which family solves your concern is most of the work. Neuromodulators relax the muscles that crease the skin. Dermal fillers replace lost volume and define features. Biostimulators rebuild your own collagen over months. Plasma and vitamin therapies support skin and wellness from the inside. Every one of these starts with a free, in person consultation at our CityPlace clinic, because the honest answer to what you actually need depends on your face, not on whatever is on promotion.

Neuromodulators: Botox, Dysport, and Nuceiva

These are the wrinkle relaxers. They work by softening the pull of the muscles that fold the skin when you frown, raise your brows, or squint. We carry three: Botox, the most studied option, Dysport, which spreads a little more and suits larger areas like the forehead, and Nuceiva, a close cousin of Botox often chosen for value. Beyond the classic frown lines, forehead, and crow’s feet, the same toxins treat a clenched jaw and grinding through the masseter, give a subtle lip flip, calm a gummy smile, and reduce underarm sweating. Botox is $10 per unit, most first treatments use 20 to 40 units, and results build over a week or two and last about three to four months.

Dermal fillers: Vivacy Stylage, Revanesse, and Teosyal Redensity

Fillers are hyaluronic acid gels that restore volume and shape. We use the full Vivacy Stylage range, from soft gels for fine lines to dense gels for cheek and jaw projection, plus Revanesse for accessible lip work and Teosyal Redensity 2 for the delicate under eye. Because they are hyaluronic acid, they are reversible with hyaluronidase if you ever want them adjusted or removed. See our dermal fillers page for the full breakdown by area.

Biostimulators: Sculptra and Radiesse

Where fillers add gel, biostimulators ask your body to build its own collagen. Sculptra is poly L lactic acid, placed over a series of sessions for a gradual, natural restoration of facial support that can last two years or more. Radiesse is calcium hydroxylapatite, which gives immediate structure plus ongoing collagen stimulation, useful for the jaw, chin, and hands. Both are explained on our biostimulators page.

PRP and IV therapy

Platelet rich plasma uses a small draw of your own blood, concentrated and reintroduced to support skin quality and hair. IV therapy delivers hydration and targeted vitamins directly, a wellness add on rather than an aesthetic injectable. Both are planned in your consult alongside any facial or device work.

How we keep injectables safe

All of our injectable treatments are performed by Shahram Mafazi, our senior aesthetic injector and trainer, and Jasmine Saggu, our nurse injector, under the standing orders of medical director Dr. John David Henneberry-Fudge, MD FRCPC. The most serious risk with filler, though rare, is vascular occlusion, and the protections against it are anatomy knowledge, conservative technique, cannula use where it helps, and immediate access to hyaluronidase, which we keep on site.

What injectables cost

We publish real prices. Botox is $10 per unit, hyaluronic acid filler starts around $500 per syringe, and biostimulators and tear trough work are quoted per area at your consult. Consults are always free and come with a written quote. The full, live menu is on our price list.

Injectables FAQ

Which injectable do I actually need?

If lines appear when you move, that is usually a neuromodulator. If you have lost volume or want more definition, that is filler or a biostimulator. Most natural results come from a small, planned combination, which we map out at your consult.

Will injectables make me look done?

Not when they are dosed conservatively. The frozen or overfilled look comes from too much product placed too aggressively. Our default is subtle, and you can always add more later.

How long do results last?

Neuromodulators last about three to four months. Hyaluronic acid filler lasts roughly nine to eighteen months depending on the area. Biostimulator results build gradually and can last two years or more.

Does it hurt?

Most people tolerate it easily. We use topical numbing, the filler gels contain lidocaine, and we use fine needles or blunt cannulas depending on the area.

Who performs the injections?

Shahram Mafazi and Jasmine Saggu, under our medical director. Julia, our aesthetician, handles facials and skin treatments rather than injectables.
