One platform drives several handpieces, and the difference that matters is not the console they share. It is how deep the energy is delivered and what happens to sit at that depth. That is what settles which handpiece answers your complaint, and how many visits it will take.

Which layer each InMode handpiece works in, and what that settles
HandpieceWhere the energy is deliveredWhat that settles
Morpheus8Carried in through microneedles, so the heat lands well below the surfaceWhere we go for scarring, texture, mild slackness and overall skin quality, on the face and off it. Surface pigment is not the target, which is why it suits every skin tone
FormaFrom the surface, no needles at allGradual firming across the lower face, jawline and neck with nothing to recover from, which is why it runs as a series you can fit around an ordinary week
Diolaze XLAn 810 nm diode aimed at the hair follicleHair reduction, and nothing else. It is not a skin quality treatment and it firms nothing
Body FXVacuum plus heat, at the fat layer and the skin over itBody work rather than anything on the face

Most of these are booked as a short series, often three visits, with maintenance after. Which handpiece, how many, and the order they run in comes out of the assessment rather than off the menu. Forma asks nothing of your calendar afterwards; Morpheus8 typically leaves you pink with some texture for a few days.

InMode treatments in Toronto, one platform, several handpieces

InMode is a medical platform that drives several different handpieces, each tuned to a different job, from deep skin remodeling to non invasive tightening to laser hair removal. The advantage is that we can combine the right handpieces for your skin in a coordinated plan rather than relying on a single device to do everything. Which handpiece, and how many sessions, is decided in your consultation.

Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency heat delivered at depth, which remodels and tightens while it resurfaces. It is our workhorse for acne scarring, texture, mild laxity, and overall skin quality on the face and body, and it works across skin tones because the energy targets the deeper layers rather than surface pigment. Most people do a short series for the best result.

Forma skin tightening

Forma is non invasive radiofrequency tightening with no needles and no downtime. It gently heats the deeper skin to stimulate collagen and firm areas like the lower face, jawline, and neck. Because it is comfortable and downtime free, it suits people who want gradual tightening they can fit around a normal week, usually over a series of sessions.

Laser hair removal and body contouring

The same platform powers Diolaze XL laser hair removal, an 810 nm diode aimed at the hair follicle, and body contouring handpieces that work at the fat layer and the skin over it. It also powers InMode’s IPL, the Lumecca, which we do run. An IPL is a broadband flashlamp filtered to a band of wavelengths that surface melanin absorbs strongly, which is the documented reason its use is normally held to lighter skin, and it is why we offer Lumecca on Fitzpatrick I to III, case by case at IV with a test patch, and not at V or VI. For pigment, sun damage, redness and vascular work on deeper phototypes, on tanned skin and for melasma we use the Aerolase Neo Elite at 1064 nm instead, a single wavelength that surface melanin absorbs far less strongly, which is why it is workable across Fitzpatrick I to VI. Grouping the InMode handpieces under one platform means we can build a face and body plan that works together instead of competing.

How we plan InMode treatments

The honest answer to which handpiece you need depends on your skin and your goal, which is why every InMode plan starts with an assessment. We will tell you what each handpiece can and cannot do, estimate your sessions, and sequence treatments so they build on each other. Device treatments are performed by our trained clinical team under medical director Dr. John David Henneberry-Fudge, MD FRCPC.

What InMode treatments cost

InMode treatments are quoted per session, with series pricing where a course gives the best result. Consultations are free and come with a clear plan and quote. The full, live menu is on our price list.

InMode FAQ

What is the difference between Morpheus8 and Forma?

Morpheus8 uses microneedles plus radiofrequency for deeper remodeling and resurfacing, with a little downtime. Forma is needle free surface radiofrequency for gradual tightening with no downtime. Many people use them together.

Is InMode safe for darker skin tones?

Yes. Radiofrequency handpieces like Morpheus8 and Forma target the deeper skin rather than surface pigment, which makes them well suited to all skin tones.

How many sessions will I need?

Most InMode treatments work best as a short series, often three sessions, with maintenance afterward. We give you a specific estimate at your consult.

Is there downtime?

Forma has none. Morpheus8 typically leaves you pink with some texture for a few days. We plan treatments around your calendar.

Ready to look into it properly?

Our consultation is free. We will look at your skin, give you an honest recommendation, and say so if a different treatment would suit you better.
