Latisse Eyelash Enhancement In a Nutshell
What is it?
Latisse is a medication used to treat the loss of eyelash hair or inadequate lashes or simply to enhance the eyelashes you have. With ongoing at home use Latisse will dramatically improve your eyelash growth giving you beautiful long and luscious lashes.
Who is it for?
- anyone looking to treat eyelash loss or inadequate lashes
- improve on eyelash growth
- lengthen eyelash growth phase
- enhance the look of their eyelashes
- thicken and darken eyelashes
- lengthen the eyelashes
How It Works
Latisse is a product applied with an applicator to your lash line at home. It must be used daily in order to see a difference. It thickens, darkens and lengthens your eyelashes and extends your eyelash growth phase.
The Treatment
Latisse Eyelash Enhancement is a treatment that should be applied as a daily medication at home. During your complimentary in person consultation with your BarBeauty provider, you will be assessed to decide whether the Latisse treatment is for you.
During this consultation your provider will show you how to apply Latisse medication and will prescribe an individualized treatment plan. Typically Latisse is a medication to be taken daily, but this may vary from individual to individual.
Latisse Eyelash Enhancement medication is intended for upper eyelash use only, but once applied and you close your eyes some medication will naturally transfer to your lower lashes as well, which is perfectly normal.
Is Latisse Eyelash Enhancement treatment for you?
Anyone who suffers from inadequate eyelashes or hypotrichosis and is looking to improve their eyelash growth is a good candidate for Latisse Eyelash Enhancement treatment. However, whether or not you are a good candidate for Latisse medication should be decided in consultation with one of our expert providers.
Who should not have Latisse Eyelash Enhancement treatment?
Anyone who has severe allergies, is prone to skin infections, has pink eye, has uveitis (inflammation in the middle layer of the eye), or a condition in which there is a build-up of fluid in the macula (small oval pigmented part of the retina) should not have this treatment. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should wait until after to use Latisse medication.
When can I expect to see results?
You can expect to see full results within 16 days of daily use of the Latisse Eyelash Enhancement medication.
Will I need more than one treatment?
In order to ensure that your eyelash growth continues and remains permanent you need to continue to take Latisse medication. If you stop treatment, over time your eyelash growth will revert back to its original condition.
Are there any side effects?
Redness and itchiness are the most common side effects following the use of this medication. You could also experience dry eyes and the rare possibility of the darkening of the skin on your eyelids. Individuals with blue or green eyes may develop brown flecks if product is deposited directly in the eye (which it should not be if you follow application instructions).
