The thread lift recovery is faster than most people expect. Knowing what to expect day by day helps you plan around work, social commitments, and any photo events. Here is the typical timeline our Bar Beauty Medical clients experience after an Aptos thread lift in Toronto.
Day 0 to 2: tightness and minor swelling
Your face will feel tight, similar to a strong workout. Mild swelling and bruising at insertion points are normal. Sleep on your back, two pillows up, for the first three nights. Most clients take the day of and the next day off social plans.
Day 3 to 5: bruising peak, then fade
Bruising is most visible at day three, then begins to fade. Concealer covers it well. Most clients return to work by day three or four. Avoid heavy chewing (cut food smaller) and hot drinks for the first week.
Day 7 to 10: settling and lift visible
Tightness softens. Swelling resolves. The actual lift becomes visible. You can resume light cardio. Skip facial massages, dental cleanings, and saunas for two more weeks.
Week 3 to 4: collagen response engages
The mechanical lift you see at week one is only part of the result. Aptos threads stimulate collagen production along the thread path, and that secondary lift continues to build through weeks 3 to 6.
Month 3 and beyond: full result
Final lift is visible at three months and continues to refine through six. Aptos threads continue to dissolve gradually, but the collagen they triggered keeps lifting your skin for a year to 18 months total. Most clients book an annual touch-up to maintain.
